many emcees are good, but only one is terrific. i've been a huge fan of sintax for a long time. i got to meet him while we were both in nashville a few years back. he was probably one of the coolest emcees i've ever got to meet. he not only agreed to do the track but share every verse. (most people who agree to a cameo usually just do a 16 bar verse.)
i got the beat from othello and ended up not having any ideas for it for so long that i began to dislike it. sintax picked this one to rap on and suggested we keep the name othello gave it and go back and fourth. in an instant i came up with the concept of connecting. verse one is about God connecting to humans, verse two is us as the emcee connecting with our God to our audience, and verse 3 is about the audience connecting back to God.
