about
i have had the name for this track and a concept of capturing life in song for a long time. surprisingly snapshots and photo ops was one of the last tracks i wrote for the album. however, this was one of the first tracks that i had recorded. i wasn't going to sing the hook but it just felt like the right thing to do. i experimented with harmonies (something i am not that great at) and loved the results. the high voice i used was kind of backstreet boy esque but i don't care they get chicks. ha ha.
verse one is about being insecure because we picture everyone else perfect. verse two is about faking the smile in our snapshot of life. and verse three is about pretending to be someone we are not.
my man pumpkin foot gave me this beat for free cause he thought i would rock it. my man tom stanley dropped the funky bass line.
