i got this idea from listening to a gangstarr album and guru says, "a true champion always rises." i built the song around the idea that in Christ we are more than conquerors.
the first verse is a true story about me rapping my guts out in the pouring rain on the streets of denmark to people who could barely understand me. we had set up on a busy street corner and it was sunny and warm. right before our outreach the skies opened up and let us have it. this had happened a few times to us, but this time i didn't care. i grabbed the mic and stood on a parch bench and rapped like it would be the last time i ever did. an entire street full of danish people crowded under nearby awnings, store fronts, and some just in the down pour to listen to me rock my track belong. i will never forget that day.
the second verse is basically parts of romans 8 in a rap.
